"When You Find Something That Works, You Stick to It!"

Dr. Sivi Jones has been a Sterling client since 1992.

"I opened this office from scratch. I was sitting in my office one day just after I had opened my new practice full time, and I had no patients! My receptionist didn't show up to work. I asked myself, 'Why?' because when I had worked in other doctors' offices, I was very busy. I had developed a good rapport with the patients and the patients came in, yet when I opened my own office, I had no clients. That set me to thinking. So I was looking through different journals and I came across 'Dental Economics' and the caption in the back of it asked, 'Do you need new patients?' I figured it was a stroke of luck! So I got on the phone with Sterling and they gave me a few tips I could use right away.

"Before I went out for the training, I started implementing things from Sterling. One of their consultants reorganized my yellow pages ad because it was the deadline for it. We put in an ad that was much more marketable. They told me how to get referrals and my patients started sending in their brothers, fathers, sisters, mothers and so on. I started getting a lot of upswings right away.

"As I did their courses I got a lot of insight into how to run a business. So I was anxious to come back because I figured I had enough tools to start operating with right away. When I came back from the training, I started to apply everything and it only took me about two months to get back my initial investment into Sterling.

"My consultant then directed me to relocate the office to a more upscale part of the town, and once we relocated we went into a new affluence. "I think Hubbard management technology is awesome! When I first got into this s technology, I had a lot of unanswered questions about business. I had a lot of misunderstood words concerning business. I had this idea in my head that to be successful you had to be crooked. I didn't want to be crooked. The Hubbard management technology thoroughly disabused me of that idea and took all of that out of my head. To be honest and to be successful IS very doable. My office manager and I keep statistics, and we do planning based on them every week. Then we implement our battle plan to get the patients coming in. I use the emotional tone scale to communicate well with my patients. I use a lot of affinity, reality, and communication with them. I do financial planning for the office every week.

"I also did a sales course at Sterling and it is working very well for me. "When I first came back from the training in California, I recommended Sterling to a lot of doctors that I knew. I guess they had their 'reasons' and they didn't do it. They are still where they were then, and now I'm much more comfortable. Five years later it's pretty good! I'm making a good living. I bought a house, then another house. So I'm doing very well. Since the beginning of the program, I'm up about 90 percent. I'm doing almost twice as much.

"To another doctor who is going around in circles, confused, I would say the first thing you need to do is organize yourself. And you need to find yourself a consultant or management company out there, but you have to find the one that really works. I've told you about my management company. They will give you a lot of data about how to run your business, but you actually have to roll your sleeves up and apply it. It basically depends on how successful you want to be. If you want to be really successful, you should most definitely connect up with Sterling. I have had a lot of other consulting groups call me. But when you find something that works, you stick to it!"
